"The composition came to existence by layering and compiling extracts from different recording sessions with a small Eurorack modular system. The single modules are responsible for the melodies and the timbre, the rhythmical pulses or the basslines got controlled one after another. Due to the fact that the recordings are not strictly synched, shifts in rhythms were forced while layering the material. Thus, the piece doesn't follow a strict order, but rather a notion of improvisation."

Shayu + Sfairiko are Zurich-based artist Lea Meier and graphic designer and musician Jahn Koutrios. Meier and Koutrios, who both were educated in Lucerne, are at the beginning of their careers. However, the quality of their weightless compositions live already up to international standards.
